Program in Joensuu and Bomba

• Visit to University of Eastern Finland: short intro to Finnish education system & lifestyle insight 
• Light nature experience suitable for families, including educational elements (e.g. Järven Taiga) focusing on Finnish nature connection, everyone's rights and wellbeing in nature.
• Light meal / camp fire meal
• Visit to Joensuu Arts & Crafts centre (Taitokortteli) if time (where it is possible to attend souvenir making classes)

Transfer Joensuu-Bomba 1,5 hrs (via Koli if time, this adds approx 20-30 minutes to transfer time + time for visits in Koli): 

Top of Koli guided walking tour (STF), Nature centre Ukko, Retkipaikka, Koli Safaris introduction + hotel inspections

Hyvärilä & Wilderness skills workshop (STF) in Bomba

Wilderness skills are the keys to surviving in the wild. Wilderness skills are knowledge of nature, information and manual skills such as using a knife and making  kindling, making a fire using "flint and steel", and assembling and using a trangia, or camping stove.

Dinner + spa or evening activity if time

Morning activity: for example Karelian pastry making workshop + Bomba Safaris introduction

Morning: transfer to North Savo

Arrival from Bomba to Metsäkartano about lunch time

Lunch on arrival at Metsäkartano and nature activities in the afternoon.

Accommodation at Metsäkartano with evening activities and dinner.

Breakfast at Metsäkartano and after breakfast departure to Nilsiä to visit the Alpine high school.

11-13 Lunch and meeting with school

Departure from Nilsiä Alpine school to Tahko Mountain

Activities & accommodation in Tahko 

After breakfast departure to Kuopio 

Visit to Puijo tower and nature walk from Puijo to Kontila

Lunch at Konttila and small group activity after lunch 

Meeting with Kuopio City team & visit to City Hall in afternoon

Smoke sauna experience in Rauhalahti and accommodation at Rauhalahti

After breakfast departure from Rauhalahti to Leppävirta Muumi Icecave

Activities in Vesileppis and site inspection

Lunch at Vesileppis

Departure to Helsinki 

Check in to Solo Sokos Hotel Pier 4
