12.30 Welcome to Visit Northern Finland &  Oulu - European Capital of Culture 2026! Introduction of the region and highlights of Oulu2026 and its legacy for international travelers. Introduction of the new Museum and Science Centre Tiima, to be opened in the fall of 2026: its Aurora Revelare exhibition about the Northern lights; and Kierikki Stone Age Centre. Presentations held at Visit Oulu office at Radisson Blu Hotel.

13.45 Transfer to Nallikari

14.00 Outdoor Experience on the frozen sea
Enjoy a guided outdoor activity on the frozen sea in Nallikari. Participants will walk on the ice, try traditional ice-fishing with an auger, learn about winter safety, and warm up by an open fire with hot juice and a small sweet treat. Thermal clothing will be provided for the activity.

9:30 Air Guitar Workshop - Make Air Not War
Discover one of Oulu’s most iconic cultural phenomena: Air Guitar. Originating in Oulu and now a global movement, Air Guitar promotes joy, creativity and the message “Make Air Not War” — a call for peace through music and imagination.

During this interactive workshop, participants will:
• Watch a short Air Guitar performance
• Learn the meaning and philosophy behind Make Air Not War
• Explore the basics of air guitar playing (no instrument needed!)
• Create their own air guitar character and stage persona
• Play together in a fun, uplifting group session

Air Guitar is about freedom of expression, positive energy and connecting with others — a uniquely Oulu experience that blends culture, creativity and pure joy.

10.30 Transfer to Syöte (2 hrs)

After the creative pulse of Oulu, Syöte offers a shift in rhythm – a gentle invitation to slow down and breathe with nature. Nestled in the southernmost fell region of Finland, Syöte is where the forest whispers and the snow crunches under your feet. Here, the days are filled with movement and meaning: snowshoeing across silent slopes, relaxing in a hilltop spa, and sharing meals inspired by the surrounding wilderness.
The experience deepens with huskies pulling you through frosty trails, reindeer waiting in the stillness of the forest, and the northern sky glowing above as you walk under the stars. Syöte is not just a destination – it’s a feeling. A place where nature leads, and you follow.

The sauna operates both as a public sauna – ideal for FIT clients wishing to experience authentic Finnish sauna culture together with locals – and as a private venue that can be booked exclusively for groups.
Please note that this visit is for inspection purposes only; we will not be having a sauna session this time.
