A trip to northernmost Lapland, to the arctic travel region of Lapland North Destinations, is always a memorable experience. 23:00 It’s sauna time! Finns love the sauna and it is an essential part of Finnish leisure time. Now we have the opportunity to enjoy our first sauna experience of the FAM trip to Lapland North. Visit Inari’s lakeside sauna and outside jacuzzi offer a beautiful view to the mighty Lake Inarijärvi. Remember to make a dip in the fresh clear waters of the lake!

Sámi culture and nature are an integral part of everyday life in the northernmost Lapland and now you have an opportunity to get familiar with it. After the guided tour you will have some time to visit Siida’s outdoor museum or to do shopping in the museum shop.

11:00 It’s time to experience the splashes of River Juutua!
We will start our adventure from beautiful Lake Solojärvi, where we set our rubber dinphy on the water. We start paddling along Lake Solojärvi and head to River Juutua, which is known for its trouts. It is also a home river for Inari Sámi people. During our expedition on River Juutua we will experience two bigger white water rapids as well as few smaller streams along the way. We will also have lunch break by Rapid Ritakoski.
14:00 After our river rafting adventure, we will hike through the Lappish nature to Rapid Jäniskoski, which is a sight of raging waters amongst the rocky river bend heading towards Lake Inari. From the cable bridge we can admire the free running clear water and llisten to the roaring rapids. From Jäniskoski we will continue our hike towards Inari village and end our trip to Wilderness Hotel Juutua.

16:00 It’s time for the Finnish sauna experience!
Wilderness Hotel Juutua’s sauna and meeting venue Koski, located by the beautiful river Juutua, is at our disposal for the relaxing baths. Step out onto the terrace, where you will find a jacuzzi overlooking the river Juutua.
18:00 Dinner will be served in the award-winning Restaurant Aanaar
An appreciation for Lapland nature as well as the heritage is at the heart of what Restaurant Aanaar does. Their kitchen creates unique dishes and always favors orga nic alternatives and sources them from local producers and pickers.
21.15 Transfer from the hotel to the boat cruise
21:30 After dinner you will experience the nightless night and the Midnight Sun! You will hop on a private boat and make a cruise on Lake Inari, the largest lake in Lapland and a home for over 3000 islands. During the cruise you will make a break and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine to greet the Midnight Sun. Cruise will take about 1,5 hours and is operated by Visit Inari. NB: The cruise is subject to weather conditions.
23.00 After the cruise, transfer back to Wilderness Hotel Juutua for overnight

10:15-11:00 Transfer from Inari to Lemmenjoki Village which is located next to Lemmenjoki National Park - the largest national park in Finland. This is the place to experience the real wilderness!
11:00 We will go for a riverboat cruise which is arranged by Paltto Adventures, the local Sámi family. During the cruise we will have a chance to admire the astonishing mountain line rising from the river canyon and to see the beautiful Ravadasköngäs Waterfall. We will also enjoy an outdoor lunch which will be served by open fire while listening traditional joiku singing and stories about the everyday life in Lapland. After the riverboat cruise we will have some time to visit the local felt studio in an old Sámi setting on the bank of River Lemmenjoki. We will also have a chance to meet some reindeer!
