Elk Safari

Elk/Moose (Alces alces) is the largest species in a deer family. You will be surprised by its size when you see one! We will tell you about its behavior, ecology and about elks' relationship with the Finns.

We take you to Porkkala Peninsula - "wilderness", less than 50 km from Helsinki. During the Elk watching trip you are likely to see also White-tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus), Roedeer (Capreolus capreolus) and Fallow Deer (Dama dama). To increase the possibilities to observe Elks and other deer species we have binoculars and telescope with us.

So, if you are lucky, you may see four deer species. Sometimes also other mammal species!
