A trip to northernmost Lapland, to the arctic travel region of Lapland North Destinations, is always a memorable experience. 14:15 We will make a visit to Arctic Sky Lapland, where we will first enjoy lunch prepared of local ingredients and served by open fire in a cozy Kota-restaurant. After lunch we will take part to Forest Bathing which is a nature connection exercise in the forest. It is proven to reduce stress hormone production and improve quality of sleep and overall happiness.

18:00 Kiilopää Fell Centre is well-known for its famous smoke sauna Kuurakaltio - it is a must experience while visiting Lapland North area and now we will have an opportunity to enjoy of it! Be prepared for warm baths in the atmospheric smoke sauna and a refreshing dip in the river next to the sauna.

Transfer from Santa’s Hotel Tunturi to Happy Huskies in Ivalo
Transfer time approx. 30 minutes.

10:30 It’s time to meet the happy huskies at Happy Huskies’ farm. During the visit we will meet the pack of 15 huskies, be part of their daily life, hear their stories and learn something unique about each dog. Most importantly, we will experience the seamless connection between dogs and humans. 

Transfer from Happy Huskies to Xwander Nordic’s wilderness camp
Transfer time approx. 15 minutes.

12:15 On arrival to Xwander Nordic’s wilderness camp, we will be welcomed by a local professional guide who will introduce us the secrets of fishing. This activity gives us a glimpse of traditional ways of fishing in Finland. We will also learn some important  skills (such as how to make an open fire) that are good to know when you are out in nature. Lunch by campfire is served during the wilderness camp visit.

Free time until dinner

19:00 Dinner will be served in the award-winning Restaurant Aanaar
An appreciation for Lapland nature as well as the heritage is at the heart of what Restaurant Aanaar does. Their kitchen creates unique dishes and always favors organic alternatives and sources them from local producers and pickers. 

21:30 After dinner you will experience the nightless night and the Midnight Sun! You will hop on a private boat and make a cruise on Lake Inari, the largest lake in Lapland and a home for over 3000 islands. During the cruise you will make a break and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine to greet the Midnight Sun. Cruise will take about 1,5 hours and is operated by Visit Inari. NB: The cruise is subject to weather conditions.

After the cruise, transfer back to Wilderness Hotel Juutua for overnight
